The Trinity....
on the third day he rose again from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty;
from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
One aspect of the Apostles’ Creed, and much western Catholic thinking, is that we focus on God the Father and God the Son, but give little mention of the Holy Spirit. Jesus is in heaven with the Father, and also with the Spirit. The three divine persons are equal, united, and distinct. A fun mystery for your spare time.
To say Jesus will come to judge the living and the dead refers to the final judgement. People who have died since His descent into hell and those who will die before His second coming are judged upon death A) go to hell; B) begin purgation to be purified for heaven; or C) go to heaven.
